UHT) - a kind of pasteurization (heat treatment process to extend the life of the liquid food product), in which the liquid is heated for 1-2 seconds to a temperature of 135-150 °C and immediately cooled to 4-5 °C. this destroys most pathogens. The product processing takes place in a closed system.
Milk after such treatment is suitable for use for 6 months or longer, and can be stored at room temperature, without cooling.
As with conventional pasteurization, aseptic pasteurization does not mean sterilization of the product. The treatment does not affect the content of calcium and other trace elements in milk.
